Primary objective

The Frontline Systems Support Officer plays a key role in supporting the Northern Territory Police Force by managing complex, high-

volume data processing, remediation, and quality assurance activities in accordance with legislation, policies, and procedures. The position

undertakes accurate and timely data entry, including court outcomes, requests for information, warrants, parole and court orders, Births,

Deaths and Marriages reports, and historical in-custody photographs across multiple systems and databases. The role requires flexibility

to adapt to changing priorities and provides guidance and support to new and junior team members.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Manage high-volume data processing and system integration tasks, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures.

2. Record, quality-check, and maintain complex data, including court outcomes, warrants, parole orders, and historical photographs across

multiple systems.

3. Provide accurate and timely information to internal and external stakeholders in line with legislation and organisational standards.

4. Facilitate effective communication and data exchange between teams and external agencies to meet service expectations.

5. Support and guide team members to maintain efficient workflows and achieve high-quality outcomes.

6. Develop and implement processes to improve data handling, quality assurance, and service delivery.

7. Identify and resolve data-related issues promptly, ensuring deadlines and accuracy standards are met.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Demonstrated experience managing and processing complex, high-volume data in a regulated environment, ensuring accuracy,

timeliness, and compliance.

2. High-level computing skills with the ability to work across multiple systems and maintain data integrity and security.

3. Well-developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with internal and external

stakeholders.

4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and contribute to process improvements.

5. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, meeting critical deadlines under pressure while maintaining

quality standards.

6. Demonstrated adaptability to change and capacity to quickly learn new systems, legislation, and processes.

7. High level of personal integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism, with the ability to provide guidance and support to team

members.

Desirable

1. Knowledge and experience using Police business systems including SerPro, Mainframe (IJIS & MOVERS), NPRS, NCIS, MDEA, TRM

and etc.

2. Knowledge and understanding of exchanging criminal history information between the NTPF and partner agencies, both locally and

across Australian jurisdictions.
