GEOTECHNICAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR

2 weeks on, 1 week off (11.5-hour days). Fly in directly to site the afternoon prior to roster commencement.
Role Summary
Worley is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Construction Supervisor to join a site-based Integrated Project Team supporting major earthworks and haul road pavement construction for a key client. The role is based approximately 120 km west of Newman in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
This position provides hands-on geotechnical support during construction, with a strong focus on delivering works in accordance with approved designs, specifications and quality requirements while responding to variable ground conditions and borrow materials encountered on site.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide geotechnical construction support and supervision across earthworks and haul road pavement activities
* Undertake regular site inspections and verify ground conditions against design assumptions
* Monitor borrow pit development and mass haul activitiesAssess material suitability and performance during construction
* Review compaction, density and laboratory testing results
* Support quality assurance and quality control processes
* Document geotechnical observations through daily site reports
* Identify and escalation unexpected ground conditions and construction risks
* Provide timely and practical technical advice to Superintendents, Project Engineers and contractors
* Collaborate with office-based geotechnical specialists and the broader Integrated Project Team to resolve technical queries and non-conformances

You Will Ideally Have
* Experience in geotechnical construction support or supervision
* Strong understanding of earthworks, borrow materials and haul road construction
* Ability to interpret geotechnical designs, specifications and testing results
* Experience working on large-scale construction or mining projects
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work effectively in a site-based, rostered environment
