Remuneration: Stream A, Level 6 - 7: $98,804.89 - $112,867.62 per annum + superannuation

Are you looking for your next leadership opportunity? An exciting opportunity has become available for a Coordinator Sport & Recreation based in Emerald.

We are seeking a highly skilled individual who will coordinate a portfolio of sport and recreation facilities, organisations and programs that deliver a range of sport and recreation projects, policies and initiatives across the Central Highlands. As the Coordinator Sport & Recreation, you will lead, support and develop a small team of Sport & Recreation Officers who are passionate about increasing active recreation opportunities for the community in the region. Additionally, you will play a key role in the contract management of the region's seven Aquatic Centres which are valued at over $40m.

In this role, you will support the organisation by:

- Establishing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
- Developing the Community Service policies and procedures to ensure consistent service provisions across the region.
- Providing accurate analysis and reporting on Asset and Facilities functions.
- Authoring and delivering complex reports to the Executive Leadership Team and Council.
- Supporting community organisations to prioritise facility upgrades and assist with internal planning and governance processes.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

- Degree qualifications and/or demonstrated experience relevant to the role responsibilities
- Queensland Working with Children Blue Card
- Minimum of Queensland C class provisional drivers licence
- Demonstrated project management or operational planning skills and the ability to deliver within agreed budgets and timeframes.
- Proven knowledge of the principals of asset management and maintenance within a capital and operational budget.
- Experience working with government organisations, lessees, tenants, community organisations and contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and direct staff as and when required.
- Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare high quality written reports and documents.
