We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Support Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. Application requirements include character limited responses to address only 2 Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) domains at application stage. The remaining AITSL domain will be assessed as part of the further assessment stage, for shortlisted applicants only.

The School
The Rockingham Beach Education Support Centre (ESC) community believes that students can develop skills across all curriculum areas and the social, emotional, physical and educational development of all children is best facilitated when parents, teachers, specialists and therapists work together as partners in the process.

Rockingham Beach ESC was established in 1987, sharing a site with the Rockingham Beach Primary School. We presently have 69 students enrolled from Kindergarten to Year 6. The curriculum programs are supported with regular excursions, yearly school camps, swimming and horse-riding lessons.

The Role
As an Education Support Teacher at Rockingham Beach ESC you will ideally embrace our whole school vision of ‘Building brilliant futures for our families’ and our whole school instructional programs of Talk 4 Writing, Read Write Inc., Zones of Regulation, PATHS (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies), Protective Behaviours and Positive Behaviour Support. Experience in using explicit instruction strategies is highly desirable. Suitable applicants should be genuine innovators that are prepared to be flexible with the capacity to meet the diverse needs and learning styles in a mixed ability and multi-age classroom setting. Teachers will ideally have the ability to manage class teams and liaise with parents and therapists to meet the educational and care needs of our students.
