About the role
Lead a small team in the delivery of mandatory climate-related disclosures for a leading ASX-listed organisation ahead of 30 June 2026 first-year reporting. This is a high-impact leadership role at the forefront of regulatory change, owning statutory climate reporting, shaping accounting policy, and partnering with executives and the Board to embed robust governance and commercial insight across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Own end-to-end external statutory climate disclosures - accuracy, governance and delivery
* Lead year-end reporting cycles and embed climate reporting into BAU processes
* Manage external audit and advisory relationships to achieve clean assurance outcomes
* Develop and apply climate-related accounting policies in line with emerging standards
* Prepare high-quality Audit and Sustainability Committee papers
* Act as financial lead on cross-divisional climate and sustainability initiatives
* Strengthen controls, data integrity and reporting frameworks
* Partner across Risk, Legal, Treasury, Finance and Sustainability to drive aligned outcomes
* Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing team
* Represent the organisation in industry forums and sustainability working groups
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor of Commerce or Accounting
* CA qualified (preferred)
* Strong technical reporting background with ASX exposure
* Experience in sustainability, climate reporting or emerging regulatory frameworks
* Property, infrastructure or real assets exposure (advantageous)
* Proven leadership capability with executive-level stakeholder engagement
* Strong analytical, commercial and influencing skills
* Ability to navigate complexity and lead large-scale regulatory change
