**Who are we?**
The Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) has the public responsibility of managing one of the largest and the most successful stadiums in Australia and the world - the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The MCG is more than just a stadium, it's an Australian icon and a meeting place for generations past, present and future. The MCG is host to more than 70 major events and attracts over three million visitors annually. The MCC is the largest sporting club in the country with over 150,000 members and also manages 13 sporting sections with participation over 2,600. The Australian Sports Museum (ASM) has its home at the MCG, celebrating the country's rich sporting history, which is also managed by the MCC.
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Asset Management Specialist in the Facilities department. The Facilities department is responsible for the management, maintenance and efficient operation of the built environment at the MCG and other MCC-managed sites. The responsibilities of this department include building operations, turf management, repairs and maintenance, cleaning and other technical services, ensuring that events, functions and daily business run smoothly.
**About the role**
Reporting to the Building services Operations Manager, the job goal of the Asset Management Specialist is the Management of the MCC Asset Management System as it relates to strategic asset planning, asset policies and procedures. The role is also responsible for, implementing and overseeing the life-cycle management of all MCC assets, leading the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of quality and control system, procedures, and operational improvement with the Facilities Department. This role also manages the upkeep of the MCG and MCC managed sites-built drawings and reference materials.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Administering the development and ongoing maintenance of asset management plans on the Asset Management System (AMS).
- Implementing and overseeing life-cycle management of all MCC assets.
- Leading the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of quality and control system, procedures and operational improvement.
- Management and upkeep of the MCG and MCC managed sites-built drawings and reference materials.
- Analysing of data extracted from the Asset Management and Building Management Systems, creating reports and making recommendations
- Coordinate the department's annual capex submission and the 10-year asset replacement plan
- Carry out Facilities event day duties on a rotation basis.
**About You**
To be successful in this role, you need to have experience working in a similar role in a medium-large professional organisation that have comparable assets and building management. You are a self-motivated, collaborative team player that has proven strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills with an ability to influence and strengthen relationships. You will also have a passion for analysing data, thinking strategically and making change to processes, as these skills are pivotal to the success of this role.
You will also need to have experience in:
- An Asset Management System (QFM preferred) at an intermediate or advance level and some experience in building/facility management.
- Managing assets strategically
- Management of contractors and trade staff.
- Project management and working in project teams.
- Developing policy document templates.
- Extracting and analysing asset management and building management data and making best practice recommendations.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

- Relevant tertiary qualification(s)
- CAD software or similar software
