Paspaley Pearling Company is seeking a reliable and qualified small engine mechanic to assist with the servicing of our vehicles and machinery. Possibility of remote work.
Key Responsibilities
* Detect and diagnose faults in engines and their parts using diagnostic equipment and their own expertise.
* Perform scheduled maintenance services like oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to ensure smooth operation and compliance with regulations.
* Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engines and other components. This includes replacing worn or defective parts and calibrating components.
* Test engines and parts after repairs to ensure they are functioning correctly.
* Keep detailed records of work performed.
Qualifications:
* Construction White Card
* Drivers License
* Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III or IV.
Experience & Skills:
* At least two years of relevant full-time work experience
* Attention to detail
* Communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in a team
* Ability to use a variety of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and diagnostic equipment
* Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
* Ability to interpret service manuals and technical specifications
