We're looking for a passionate and experienced Duty Manager to join the team at Dorsett Gold Coast. This is a hands-on, people-focused role where you'll play a key part in delivering memorable guest experiences and supporting our Front Office team.
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you'll be the senior leader on shift, guiding the team, supporting daily operations, and ensuring every guest feels genuinely cared for.
About the Role
As Duty Manager, you'll lead by example on shift, supporting Front Office and Guest Services while keeping hotel operations running smoothly. You'll be a calm, confident presence for both guests and colleagues and someone the team can rely on.
* Acting as Manager on Duty, overseeing hotel operations during your shift
* Leading and supporting Guest Service Agents and Porters
* Delivering warm, professional service and resolving guest concerns
* Ensuring smooth check-in and check-out experiences
* Supporting daily handovers, reporting, and roster coverage
* Working closely with other departments to create a seamless guest journey
* Maintaining high standards of service, safety, and compliance
About You
* Previous experience as a Duty Manager or Front Office Supervisor in a hotel
* A genuine passion for guest service and team leadership
* Confident, calm, and solution-focused
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Comfortable working a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
* Experience with hotel systems (Opera Cloud preferred but not essential)
