* Full-time, Ongoing position at HEW Level 8
* Primarily based across Hawkesbury and Parramatta South campuses, with flexibility required to travel to other campuses, including Kingswood (Penrith) campus
* Base salary: $116,636 – $129,479 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading
Partner with leaders to deliver high-quality HR solutions that shape workforce capability across Western.
The Opportunity
As a People and Culture Partner, you will provide expert advice, guidance, and operational HR support across a diverse portfolio. Working closely with the Lead HR Partner and senior leaders, you will help shape strategic workforce planning, build organisational capability, and strengthen the employee experience.
You will apply sound judgement and a solutions-focused approach to navigate complex people matters, using your HR expertise to influence outcomes, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with legislation, policy, and industrial instruments. You will represent the People portfolio in key forums and contribute to university-wide programs that enhance culture, inclusion, and leadership capability.
This role also plays an important part in mentoring HR colleagues, supporting consistent service delivery, and contributing to the design and implementation of frameworks that uplift workforce management practices. Your work will support institutional goals, change initiatives, and Western's commitment to creating an inclusive environment for all staff.
What Success Looks Like
* You partner effectively with senior leaders, shaping people strategies aligned to divisional and institutional priorities.
* You provide confident, expert advice on complex people issues, contributing to risk-aware and balanced decision-making.
* You play a key role in organisational change, supporting restructures, capability initiatives, and culture uplift.
* You analyse workforce data to generate insights that inform strategic planning and leadership conversations.
* You contribute to policy, frameworks, and continuous improvement of HR practice.
