Responsibilities
- Specialise in electrical switchboards, motors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Support the Water Management and Treatment (WMAT) and Water Operations (WOP) teams
- Identify and remove limitations or deterioration that affect system performance
- Maintain and update data within the planned maintenance system, including schedules, procedures, work history, and parts usage
- Provide training and guidance to staff on the operation and maintenance of electrical assets
- Assist with installations and equipment upgrades
- Support and maintain Telemetry, SCADA, and instrumentation systems
All within a team culture that prioritises safety, initiative, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Electrical Trade Certificate and a Contractor Licence and/or Qualified Supervisors Certificate (Electrician)
- Proven experience as an electrician, ideally within the water industry or a related process-driven environment
- Strong understanding of instrumentation and switchboards, large motors, variable speed drives (VSDs), high voltage systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, radio telemetry, and condition-based monitoring
- Safety focused, solutions oriented, and able to thrive in a collaborative team setting
Salary and Benefits
Salary: Commencing salary circa $74,700 p.a. - 82,200 p.a. plus superannuation. Plus a Water Allowance of $133.61 per week.
Vehicle: A to and from use vehicle (for work purposes only).
Tenure: Full Time, Permanent
Location
This position will be based at our Taree Water Services Depot, Muldoon Street. The role will cover the southern area, including Bulahdelah, Hawks Nest, Tea Gardens, and Stroud.
