Sourcing Role in Education Sector - Fixed Term Position
**Your new organisation**
This leading scientific organisation is seeking a Sourcing and Contract Specialist to join their procurement team for an initial 6 or 12-month fixed term contract with the likelihood of extension after that. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this team provides high-quality, end-to-end, flexible and responsive management and advice to the whole organisation.
**Your new role**
Within this role you will be supporting the procurement manager with organisation-wide strategic procurement initiatives, as well and developing and maintaining excellent relationships with all relevant stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
- Tender process coordination
- Procurement and contract document preparation
- Contract variation drafting in consultation with the procurement team
- Contracts register maintenance.
- Procurement process research, review and analysis
- Assist with the development of procurement strategies
- Review of procurement policies and procedures
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Flawless communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience with procurement systems and processes
- Understanding of contracts
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
