Pnoy Home Builders is a progressive, construction company specializing in residential/commercial/mixed-use projects. Due to an increase in projects, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Architectural Draftsperson to join our growing team in Queanbeyan.
The Role
An Architectural Draftsperson prepares detailed technical drawings, plans, and 3D models from architect concepts to guide construction. Key responsibilities include creating working drawings, interpreting building regulations and codes, liaising with builders, and assisting architects with design development to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Drawings & Plans: Develop preliminary sketches, detailed working drawings, and 3D renderings for residential or commercial projects.
* Compliance: Interpret and apply building codes, regulations, and standards to drawings.
* Collaboration: Liaise with architects, construction managers, surveyors, and contractors to ensure accurate project execution.
* Modifications: Edit and revise plans based on feedback or site inspections.
* Costing: Assist in calculating material costs and time scales.
* Technical Documentation: Prepare building specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* High-level proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD and SketchUp), 3D modelling software (e.g., Revit, Revu) and Scottsdale skills being highly regarded.
* Knowledgeable for all Microsoft applications.
* Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
* High attention to detail for interpreting building regulations.
* Ability to provide a portfolio showing project documentation examples.

Pay: $62,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
