Investment Analyst – Investment Management
Zurich's Investment Management team is looking for an Investment Analyst to manage approximately A$8 billion in assets across our Australian Life and General Insurance balance sheet. The role reports to the Chief Investment Officer and involves executing strategic asset allocation in fixed‐income, equities, private debt, and property, as well as contributing to investment strategy, risk management, and sustainable income outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Support the execution of strategic asset allocation and investment management across fixed income, equities, private debt, and property; assist with external manager selection and oversight, performance monitoring, and mandate compliance; contribute to portfolio analysis, capital deployment, forecasting, Net Investment Income (NII) reporting, and preparation of Investment Committee and regulatory materials.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Actuarial Studies, or a related discipline.
* Progress toward a CFA designation is desirable (or CA/CPA/FIAA). Candidates should be willing to enrol in the CFA programme if not already commenced.
* Minimum 4 years' experience in a relevant role within banking, insurance, or asset management (financial services industry).
* Strong experience supporting investment decision‐making through analysis and forecasting.
* Proven capability in preparing or contributing to Investment Committee papers and regulatory reporting.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex details.
* Strong technical capabilities, including financial modelling, analysis, and reporting.
