* Work with drones, mobile robots (incl. quadrupeds), and manipulators.

About the opportunity
This position is a fixed term for a period of 2 years appointment to contribute to the maintenance of physical robots hardware and software, robotics experiments, and robotics software development at the Robots@ANU Computing Lab. This position is suitable for recent graduates with robotics experience who like to explore if robotics research is a suitable career for them. It provides opportunities to collaborate with researchers and practitioners at the ANU, ARC ARIAM Hub and the Australian Defence Science & Technology group.
The position will be hosted at the Robotics Lab within the ANU School of Computing. The ANU School of Computing has a strong foundation in computing and information sciences at ANU with four activity clusters:
* Computing Foundations: software systems, programming languages, compilers, operating systems, software testing, software engineering, computer architecture, computer security, logic and verification, theory of computation, formal methods
* Data Science: data mining and statistical analysis, data storage and management, cloud storage and distributed computing, data engineering, data warehousing, data modeling and visualization, data analytics, database management and architecture, health informatics, data privacy
* Computational Science: scientific computing, high‐performance computing, large‐scale parallel systems, modeling and simulation, bioinformatics, computational biology/chemistry/physics/engineering
