What you'll be doing
Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children, in line with approved menus and dietary requirements.
Ensure food is prepared and served in accordance with food safety standards and service policies.
Maintain kitchen hygiene and complete cleaning routines.
Manage food purchasing, deliveries, and stock control within budget.
Record and monitor food storage and temperature checks.
Work collaboratively with the early learning team to support the overall wellbeing of children.
What you'll bring
Relevant qualifications and/or experience in food preparation.
Knowledge of food handling and food safety guidelines.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, especially with children and co-workers.
Commitment to maintaining health and safety practices.
You must hold a Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Tas) and a current (dated within 6 months) National Police Check Certificate.

Hourly rate between $34.10 and $34.77 (depending on skills and experience) + 13% superannuation.
This is a permanent, part-time position (total 22 hours per week).
The work pattern is Mondays: 8:00am – 1:00pm, and Tuesdays to Fridays 9:00am – 1:00pm.
