About your role
We currently have an opportunity for a willing and capable Storeperson to join our team at Laverton site. In this role you will be assisting with the warehousing activities and distribution duties as requested, across a wide range of chemical products.
Key Responsibilities
* Loading and unloading of trucks, sea freight and land containers
* General warehouse duties including, inwards goods, inventory management
* SH&E and Food Safety awareness and compliance
* Manage and maintain inventory levels in accordance with Ixom standards
* Maintain a clean, tidy and well organised warehouse area
* Participate actively in incident investigations
* Follow work instruction as prescribed to ensure dangerous goods are stored and transported to legal standards
* General forklift duties
Who are we looking for?
* Current and valid forklift license with significant amount of experience– in addition reach truck or flexi truck experience will be highly advantageous
* Previous experience within a warehousing and/or manufacturing environment (chemicals, food, dairy, pharmaceutical)
* Prior experience with chemicals and handling dangerous good will be highly regarded
* Basic computer skills, including SAP and Microsoft Package
* Team player, adaptable, proactive in approach and good problem-solving skills
* Ability to work autonomously
* Willingness to learn and assist the wider team
