Procurement Graduate - Manufacturing Background - Engineering company based in Belmont
This highly successful Engineering and Manufacturing company has a requirement for a Graduate Procurement Officer to join their supply team based in Belmont. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager your duties will involve:
- Prepare and send RFQ to suppliers
- Convert internal requisitions into Purchase Requisitions
- Vendor Management and Expediting of parts orders on global, National, and local Vendors
- Maintenance of Supplier parts lists
- Maintain parts backorder reports and expedite parts as required to contribute to ensuring that production activities are targeted to meet demand plans and schedules
- Work with Manufacturing Planning Team to have parts planned in-line with estimated usage
- Work with respective personnel to minimise parts, kits, and repair parts stock levels
- Liaise with local suppliers and forward freight providers
- Ensure purchasing of authorised / approved components only as identified by the Bill of Materials, Engineering, Production and Sales & Marketing.
Experience required:
- Some previous procurement / supply chain experience preferred
- Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings and action the Bills of Material
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Performance and result driving
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, in dealing with internal and external customers.
Please note this is an entry level role and training will be provided but you will come from and engineering / manufacturing background.
