A loving family in Kingscliff, Northern NSW are seeking a friendly and outgoing nanny to care for their two children (6 yr old girl and 2 yr old boy).
**The days and normal hours are:
- 4 days - 32 hours per week**
Tuesday - Friday
9am-5pm
Some flexibility on start/finish times would be preferred. Occasionally a request for an extra day may be required depending on the nannies schedule.
An ideal nanny would have a positive and friendly outlook, is gentle, calm and nurturing. Someone who has a genuine passion and love of children.
An attentive, proactive and energetic nanny that is experienced in engaging and having fun with the children, spending time indoors and outdoors and providing stimulating and creative playful activities which will support the children’s learning milestones and development.
A nanny that is reliable, responsible and trustworthy. The family are looking for a nanny who can build a lovely bond with their family and support the day to day running of the household.
The eldest child is at school throughout the day.
The nanny must be comfortable with the parents around and working from home.
**The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows -**
- To care for the children
- Follow the children's routines
- Drop/Pick up of the eldest child from school when required
- Play and engage age appropriate creative activities to assist in the children’s development
- Take the children out to activities or ie playgroups, park, playground etc.
- Prepare and cook meals and snacks for the children
- Laundry - Change the children’s bed sheets once a week and occasionally help with the folding of washing or hanging out.
- Walk the family dog occasionally (Border Collie)
- Light household duties - Generally keeping main areas and surfaces of the home clean and tidy and unpacking and stacking dishwasher, putting toys away, quick vacuum.
- Grocery shopping - picking up milk, break etc occasionally
**The family’s expectations from their nanny are -**
- 3+ years experience as a nanny or working in child care
- Child care qualification (preferred)
- Have a current Working with Children’s Check
- Current First Aid
- Display solid communication skills and speak English
- To be fit, healthy and active
- Non smoking
- Up to date with all vaccinations
- Full drivers licence and clean driving record
