Maternal and Child Health Nurse
Providing targeted support to families with young children is a critical aspect of this role. As a Maternal and Child Health Nurse, you will work closely with parents to identify potential health risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
This position requires a unique blend of clinical expertise and interpersonal skills. You will need to build trust with families, educate them on healthy parenting practices, and connect them with community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct home visits to assess the health and well-being of children and their families.
* Develop and implement individualized care plans to address identified health needs.
* Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations to ensure comprehensive support for families.
* Provide education and guidance on topics such as breastfeeding, nutrition, and child development.
Requirements:
* Division 1 Registered Nurse (AHPRA)
* Registered Midwife (AHPRA)
* Graduate Diploma or Master's degree in Maternal and Child Health, Family and Child Health, or equivalent qualification.
* Previous experience working with families and children, particularly those with high needs.
