Primary objective
Deliver comprehensive Australian Medical Assistance Team (AUSMAT) information management services and deployment coordination by collaborating
with jurisdictional database administrators. Facilitate training initiatives and policy management strategies to increase administrator capacity in overseeing
the AUSMAT human resources capability and development. Drive database advancements by conducting scoping exercises and liaising with key
stakeholders, system providers and developers to ensure the sustained functionality of the system through rigorous troubleshooting and testing protocols.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Manage the AUSMAT Workforce and Deployment Management System day-to-day assisting members and jurisdiction administrators with queries,
maximising deployable status of team member profiles, profile engagement and ensuring up to date information management.
1. Support deployment preparedness, response and recovery phases of deployments, coordinating human resources and information coordination for
deployments and providing after hours support when necessary.
3. Analyse data and provide high-level advice and reporting, advice on system requirements for maintenance and development, maintaining
documentation, standard operating procedures, policies, guides, templates and training resources and providing to system administrators in each state
and territory.
1. Participate in the National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre (NCCTRC) on call roster for disaster, preparedness and response team supporting
response activities after hours and on weekends as required during activations.
1. Responsible for maintenance of AUSMAT Workforce and Deployment Management System ensuring information accuracy and verification to facilitate
timely coordination of information to ensure ability to support rapid deployments and reporting.
1. Develop, maintain and consult with key stakeholders and system users for AUSMAT Workforce and Deployment Management System developments
and priorities, developing concepts for approval, tracking and updating mapped development works following up on outstanding matters with
developers.
1. Coordinate operational matters for AUSMAT deployments and training including human resources and team member specific requirements, travel and
accommodation, departures and reception, movement and logistics tracking, deployment equipment and consumable manifest input and stakeholder
communications with the team, jurisdictions, employers and next of kin as required.
1. Coordinate training applications for review, capture activities, engagements and deployments in the system and support with training and exercise
simulation preparations.
1. Manage the AUSMAT Workforce and Deployment Management System Support Officer to undertake profile management activities and re-
engagement work assisting team members and jurisdictions in resource management.
2. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high
quality, safe services and workplaces.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience providing high level data base management, planning, managing and delivering projects and a working knowledge of project
management practices and principles, including coordinating high level documentation, reporting, stakeholder correspondence and policy documents.
2. Demonstrated experience with system management, information management and record keeping with high level time management skills with the
ability to set priorities, work under pressure, unsupervised and while meeting deadlines.
1. Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with contemporary disaster and emergency response processes and initiatives.
2. Strongly founded cross-cultural skills and customer service experience.
3. Demonstrated experience with local, national and international travel processes.
4. Results driven with an organised and systematic approach to work, the ability to operate professionally, independently and effectively in a highly
confidential and diplomatic environment.
Desirable
1. Knowledge of NCCTRC programs.
