* Permanent Full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity
* Located in Parramatta, or other location upon negotiation across NSW, hybrid working supported
* Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $149,739 up to $173,174 pa superannuation




We are seeking a highly capable Manager to lead the Energy, Climate Change & Sustainability (ECCS) Group’s Office of the Deputy Secretary and deliver high-quality executive and ministerial support within a fast-paced, high-profile environment.



You will provide sharp, strategic advice on complex and sensitive issues to keep the Deputy Secretary fully briefed, engage key stakeholders and coordinate group communications. You will oversee and support the streamlining of ECCS’ responses to the Minister’s Office, the Secretary and government agencies, ensuring quality, accuracy, compliance and timeliness.



You will oversee the preparation and review of high-level materials—including Cabinet submissions, Parliamentary Questions and Ministerial briefs—and optimise systems and processes to lift performance. At the same time, you’ll positively lead, mentor and empower your team to build a strong, high-performing and collaborative culture.

About You

You are a highly organised and strategic professional with experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. You provide clear, timely advice on complex and sensitive issues, and confidently manage requests from Ministerial offices and senior stakeholders with accuracy, discretion and strong judgement.



You excel at coordinating high-level documents under tight deadlines, while continuously improving systems and processes to drive efficiency and quality outcomes. You will have experience managing teams in dynamic, changing environments. You are a capable leader, you build and empower high-performing teams, and manage competing priorities with professionalism, diplomacy and resilience.



Essential Requirements

* Experience working in a senior executive support function and proven ability to exercise sound judgement, particularly in matters of great political sensitivity, strict confidentiality and/or potential controversy.
* Demonstrated knowledge of the workings of government, parliamentary processes and public sector administration principles.
* Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in relevant field
