Package range: $126,000 - $141,000 AUD per annum + allowances and superannuation.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed
Mine Surveyor
to join our dynamic Australian operations. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in mining survey, spatial data management, and modern surveying technology. This is a critical role for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all survey data that drives our mine planning and production.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute all surveying activities for open-pit and/or underground mining operations, including pit and dump surveys, stockpile volume calculations, and infrastructure set-out.
Manage and process spatial data using Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Conduct precise survey calculations and provide timely, accurate data to support mine planning, engineering, and production teams.
Operate, maintain, and manage advanced surveying equipment, including robotic total stations, GNSS systems (e.g., Trimble), and UAV/drones for topographic surveys.
Prepare, update, and audit mine plans, statutory plans, and survey reports using industry-standard software such as
Surpac, Vulcan, AutoCAD, and Trimble Business Center.
Ensure strict compliance with the Surveying and Spatial Information Regulations of Western Australia and all site-specific safety and environmental protocols.
Work collaboratively with geology, engineering, and operations departments to achieve production and safety targets.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Essential:
* Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
* Valid Western Australia (WA) Surveyor's Licence (or ability to obtain one immediately)

* Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in a mining surveying role within Australia.
* High proficiency with surveying software packages:
Trimble Business Center, Surpac/Vulcan, and AutoCAD.
* Demonstrated experience with modern field equipment (robotic total stations, GNSS, UAVs).
* Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
* A proven and unwavering commitment to workplace safety.
Highly Regarded:
* Experience with 3D laser scanning (LiDAR) and point cloud processing.
* Current certifications for UAV/drone operation.
* Experience in both open-cut and underground mining environments.
