Data Engineer (Oracle) $1000 p/d + super Hybrid WFH Canberra, ACT 6 month contract + 3 month extension About the role You will be working as a Data Engineer (Oracle) for a prominent Federal Government agency tasked with ensuring the efficient management and sustainable use of Commonwealth resources. Responsibilities Database Development and Maintenance: Develop and maintain robust database systems, including schema design, stored procedures, queries, and scripts for data manipulation and retrieval. Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of database systems Data Integration and ETL Processes: Utilise Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) to design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes that integrate data from various sources into a cohesive and efficient architecture. Optimise data flows to improve performance and reliability Data Modelling: Solid understanding of data modelling concepts and experience designing and implementing relational and dimensional data models Business Intelligence and Reporting: Support the development of reporting and analytics solutions using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE). Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver insightful, actionable reports Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
