About the Role
AECOM’s Water Infrastructure group delivers critical projects across water and wastewater treatment, dams, conveyance systems, industrial water, asset management, civil infrastructure, and more. We work with clients across government, industry, mining, and defence—with a strong focus on delivering sustainable, community-focused outcomes.
As a Water Engineering Intern, you’ll gain exposure to all phases of project delivery, from design to construction support, while learning from some of the industry’s best.
How you’ll make a difference:
* Contribute to the design and planning of water and wastewater infrastructure projects (typically pipelines, pump stations or treatment plants).
* Collaborate with experienced engineers and project teams on multidisciplinary assignments.
* Assist in preparing technical reports, drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
* Support tendering processes, site inspections, and construction-phase services.
* Work closely with clients and stakeholders to help deliver impactful water infrastructure solutions.
Qualifications
* Undertaking a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree related to the role you are applying for.
* Be in your penultimate year or earlier of study at an Australian or New Zealand University.
* Able to commence work from mid-November 2025 to mid-February 2026 (Flexible).
* You must have full working rights to work in Australia or New Zealand before applying. We do accept candidates with student and graduate visas.
