The MHICU is a specialist 12-bed tertiary referral unit with a focus on high quality evidence-based intensive care management of mental health consumers. You will have the opportunity to work with an experienced and dynamic recovery-orientated team including a strong leadership group focusing on complex and challenging mental health consumers.

Where you'll be working
Mental Health Intensive Care Unit (MHICU) at Hornsby Hospital.
What You'll Be Doing
The CNS2 in the MHICU will coordinate and provide high quality nursing care, specialising in the assessment, planning and implementation of strategies to manage consumers with mental illnesses who exhibit high risk behaviours and/or complex needs and in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality consumer care outcomes.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
Division 1 Registered Nurse with post registration qualification relevant to speciality and at least 3 years experience working in the clinical area of their post graduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience.Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focused care, clinical governance and quality improvement within a Mental Health Inpatient Unit.Demonstrated experience managing acute complex and challenging clinical behaviours within a consumer centred, recovery focused framework.
