Our System Stewardship Directorate is responsible for policy, strategy and innovation projects that support the Child and Family Support System by working inclusively with sector partners and across the Division.
Role Details
The General Manager, Strategy, Policy and System Stewardship is a role within Child Safety and Family Support (CFSS) division and is accountable to the Executive Director for:
* providing timely and accurate expert advice to Executive, management and key stakeholders across government on legislation development, best practice policy and procedures for the Child and Family Support System, including representing DHS on committees, forums and working groups at the state and national level in relation to the implementation of a whole of government strategies
* developing and maintaining constructive/productive relationships with management, executive and staff across the Department, other agencies and representatives from the sector and stakeholders (both internal and external)
* providing project leadership that ensures proper project management methodology is utilised and key issues and risks are identified with effective mitigation strategies developed
* leading the development of a connected Child and Family Support System stewardship approach, including the collaborative development and implementation of required strategy and strategic policy
* delivering strategic advice and coordination for Child and Family Support System reform, including managing sensitive issues and ongoing negotiations with key state and national stakeholders, sector representatives, staff and senior management
* maintaining awareness of relevant trends and issues within the state, nationally and internationally, including the management and reporting on key data initiatives and key performance indicators.

Salary Range: $127,859 (MAS3)
