The Role
We are seeking a detailed-orientated and knowledgeable payroll professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for timely and accurate fortnightly payroll processing for the business while maintaining adherence to all relevant taxation, superannuation and employment legislation.
Key responsibilities
* Processing end to end payroll in line with legislation, awards and company policies
* Interpret and apply award rules for a variety of payroll functions ensuring pay data reflects current rates and term and conditions
* Ensuring compliance with tax, superannuation, leave calculations and statutory obligations
* Accurately interpret, code and process timesheets and administer all leave types (annual, long service, personal, parental etc)
* Perform payroll control activities i.e. compliance checks, reporting and error resolution
* Prepare payroll reports and month-end requirements
* Manage payroll queries and provide high-quality customer service to employees and managers while supporting ad hoc requirements as needed
* Contribute to the ongoing improvement of payroll systems and processes
About You
* Minimum of 3-4 years' experience in payroll processing and compliance within a medium to large scale organisation (400+ employees and 5+ awards)
* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, tax, superannuation and statutory requirements
* Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
* Experience working with multiple awards and employment contracts
* Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
* Capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively within a team
* Clear communication and engagement skills
* Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
* NDIS Worker's Screening check (essential)
* Valid National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months)
