Logistics Coordinator Job
This role is responsible for supporting the transport of equipment between locations, ensuring the safe use of compliant transport contractors, and sourcing transport services for delivery and pickup of equipment.
The key focus of this role is to ensure the efficient coordination of equipment transport. You will be responsible for liaising with transport providers, obtaining quotations, and engaging services for larger-scale transportation within the Coates Hire network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading Safety Leadership by contributing to a safety-first culture
* Ensuring safe use of compliant transport contractors for Intra and Interstate businesses
* Sourcing transport services for delivery and pickup of equipment
* Identifying cost-effective transport means to ensure best return on investment
* Liaising with Fleet and Operations departments for timely delivery and pickup
* Planning, allocating, and coordinating transport moves for customers
* Providing effective customer service to ensure continuing business relationships
* Complying with all company policies and procedures
* Maximising vehicle usage and meeting monthly KPIs
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role desirable but not essential
* Intermediate to advanced computer skills - TMS experience highly regarded
* Geographical knowledge of the Sydney metro area
* Highly organised with ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
* High level of written and verbal communication skills
