- Providing high-level administrative support to the City's library teams across multiple locations
- Ensuring accurate record keeping across all libraries and daily income receipting and reporting
- Purchasing general office and library supplies to support library services and operations
- Coordinating servicing and maintenance of office and library equipment
- Acting as contact point for minor building maintenance and liaising with contractors and vendors
- Handling general library queries and customer correspondence, as well as recording and reporting on customer feedback
- Providing responsive, solutions-focused support to library staff and stakeholders and assisting in continuous improvement efforts
- Producing miscellaneous documents and reports, as required for the library business area
What you can bring to the role We're after someone with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You'll need to be confident navigating systems, comfortable handling procurement and financial records, and proactively helping customers and stakeholders. You will also bring:
- High level administrative skills and experience with record keeping, payments, purchasing, and managing customer accounts (and related reporting)
- Proactive and experienced in supporting senior staff, with a strong ability to manage complex schedules, correspondence, and competing priorities across multiple teams while maintaining efficiency and discretion
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to confidently engage multiple stakeholders and staff across different locations
- Sound computer, technology and digital literacy skills
- Availability to work at each of the City's library locations and across weekends when rostered
- Able to obtain a Working with Children Check and satisfactory National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
