HLCS is currently recruiting for Casual Disability Support Workers to join our SIL team in our mission to empower our clients in achieving their NDIS goals and realizing their life aspirations.
We offer personalized one-on-one support services to our clients, encompassing a range of areas, including:
Daily activities
Personal Care
Social engagement
Assisted living within their homes
Active community involvement
Transportation assistance
Respite care
Weekday and weekend care
Key role:
As a Support Worker, your primary role will be to offer support to participants. You will play a vital role in promoting their autonomy, ensuring they have choices and control over their lives, and assisting them in reaching their individual goals. Your dedication to empowering participants and helping them achieve personal growth will be paramount in this position.
Hours:
We are currently recruiting for active night shifts, sleepovers, day and afternoon shifts within a SIL environment.
Responsibilities:
Assisting participants in attaining positive outcomes aligned with their personal goals as outlined in their NDIS plan.
Personal Care and ADLs
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Working independently within the community or the participant's home.
Actively participating in corporate and community events.
Transporting participants to various services and appointments
Delivering high-quality support to participants with varying levels of needs.
Providing detailed reports after each shift.
Undertaking additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
By fulfilling these responsibilities, you will contribute to the overall well-being and progress of our participants, ensuring their satisfaction and success in their NDIS journey.

Employment Type: Casual
Location: Gatton
As a casual employee, you will enjoy flexibility in your work schedule while receiving a competitive hourly rate. This position is based in Gatton in our SIL homes.
Essentials:
The successful candidate will also be required to possess or have the ability to obtain the following:
NDIS Worker Screening clearance
Blue Card certification
An open driver's license
Comprehensive car insurance
First Aid and CPR certificates
NDIS Workers' Orientation module completion
Infection control training specific to the NDIS sector (we can arrange this training)
Cert III in Individual Support or its equivalent (desirable)
Mental Health and/or Dementia experience - highly regarded
Experience in supporting individuals with BOC and a PBSP will be highly regarded
Experience using a hoist
Current MAYBO or CPI Training - highly regarded
We would also welcome Age Care Workers looking to make the transition into disability services or individuals new to support work
