Bridge Maintenance Carpenter Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced bridge maintenance carpenter to join our team in Goulburn, NSW. As a member of our bridge maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of bridges throughout the region.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with experience working on timber bridges and concrete structures. You will be responsible for performing a variety of routine and repetitive physical tasks using hand and power tools, including general carpentry work, concreting, formwork, painting, and cleaning of bridges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform general carpentry work, including framing, finishing, and repairing of bridges
* Conduct concreting and formwork operations to support bridge construction and maintenance
* Maintain and repair equipment, tools, and facilities as required
* Work safely and effectively as part of a team to achieve project goals and deadlines
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A certificate of proficiency or trade certificate in carpentry or cabinet making, or equivalent
* A current WHS White Card
* An unrestricted NSW driver's licence (MR licence or above an advantage)
* A Worker On Foot card or willingness to obtain one
* Good all-round fitness for manual work tasks
* Previous experience with road or bridge construction/maintenance highly regarded
