We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Data & Systems Engineer to design, build and optimise Cannatrek's enterprise data platform.
This is a hands‐on, high‐impact role responsible for establishing a scalable, reliable and well‐governed data ecosystem across our core business systems — including ERP, CRM and eCommerce platforms.
You will play a critical role in enabling a single source of truth across the organisation, supporting better decision‐making, operational efficiency and future innovation (including automation and AI).
What You'll Do
Own the Data Platform
* Design and optimise Cannatrek's data architecture, models and storage across cloud and on‐prem environments
* Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across ERP, CRM, eCommerce and other systems
* Ensure data integrity, reliability and availability across all datasets
* Monitor performance and continuously improve scalability and efficiency
Drive Data Governance
* Establish and enforce data governance standards (quality, lineage, security, access)
* Create a consistent "single source of truth" across key business domains
* Identify and resolve data quality issues proactively
Enable Reporting & Insights
* Partner with BI and business teams to structure data for reporting and analytics
* Design data models to support accurate and efficient reporting
* Enable flexible data access across tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and use cases
Build & Integrate
* Develop scripts, services and applications to support pipelines and automation
* Support system integrations (APIs, middleware, event‐driven architectures)
* Work closely with vendors and partners to deliver robust solutions
* Work across Technology, Finance, Sales, Marketing and Operations
* Translate business needs into technical solutions
* Provide documentation, training and guidance to ensure adoption
About You
You're a technically strong, commercially minded data engineer who enjoys building systems that actually get used.
Experience
* 8+ years in data engineering, data architecture or integration roles
* Strong experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, ECS, RDS)
* Deep understanding of ERP, CRM and eCommerce data ecosystems
* Proven experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
* Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar)
* Experience with APIs, microservices and modern software practices (CI/CD, testing)
