**The Role**

As an APS 4 Technical Officer, working in Explosive Materiel Branch in the Department of Defence, you will be working on some of the most exciting and complex guided weapons and explosive ordnance products used by the Australian Defence Force.
As Technical Officer, you will perform the following duties:
- Work collaboratively and operate as an effective Integrated Product Team (IPT) member, building and sustaining positive relationships with team members and actively participate in team work and group activities.
- Understand the requirements and ensure compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision making and Defences mission and policy requirements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical knowledge of relevant packages, processes, product and equipment.
We currently have two vacancies. These roles can be located in either Penrith, NSW or Canberra, ACT.
**About our Team**
LEOSPO is an integral part of Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB), which is part of Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Group. Our team is made up of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and corporate enabling services). We are primarily located in Penrith and Canberra and are responsible for guided and non-guided explosive ordnance acquisition and sustainment across a range of EMB major projects.
