Typical day may include:
* Facilitating access to local community activities
* Bringing fun and laughter to people's lives
* Supporting clients to develop new hobbies and interests
* Assistance with daily living tasks
* Providing personal care
* Administering medication
* Supporting clients to develop new skills
* Supporting clients to explore or attend employment
* Assisting with grocery shopping and meal preparation
* Working alongside medical professionals and allied health professionals to ensure positive outcomes
* Transporting and accompanying clients to appointments

This job is for you if you:
* Are a great communicator who likes to have fun
* Have the ability to support people with a range of needs relating to their disability especially with trauma-informed care, behaviour support, intellectual disability, Psychosocial, Seizure and PTSD.
* Understand the difference between doing something FOR someone and enabling them to do it themselves.
* Are flexible, responsive, and empathetic.
Desired qualifications and requirements:
* NDIS Screening Check
* Working with Children's Check
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (if you don't have this already you may do so after applying)
* Manual Handling Training Certificate
* Medication Administration Training
* First Aid Certificate and CPR
* COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
* Access to a reliable and fully insured vehicle
* Certificate III in individual care, aged care, community service and disability or equivalent experience is highly desirable but not essential
* Full week availability will be preferred but not essential
Note – Minimum 3 months of validity for all the above-mentioned certifications is preferred.
