As our Advice Training & Development Specialist, you'll own end-to-end learning for our Advice team—taking training from needs analysis through to design, development, delivery and evaluation.

This role ensures Advisers and Advice professionals are confident, capable, compliant and supported to meet role expectations. You'll lead key learning activities including Induction, upskill training, ongoing development and project-based initiatives. This includes hybrid delivery (online and in-person), facilitation of the monthly Advice Capability Series, and targeted 1:1/group coaching informed by learning needs, leader requests and insights.

Success is measured by improved learner confidence and capability, strong participant/leader feedback, and the timely delivery of programs aligned to business priorities.

Key responsibilities Learning needs analysis
* Conduct capability and training needs analysis using call review outcomes, audit findings, leader insights and annual technical assessment results
* Translate development needs into clear learning objectives and practical learning approaches
* Use annual training needs analysis outcomes to inform training priorities
* Design and develop facilitator‐led materials (PowerPoint decks, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, handouts)
* Create digital learning solutions (online modules, microlearning, multimedia, videos, infographics) using approved tools
* Apply adult learning principles to ensure content is inclusive, engaging and outcome‐focused
* Partner with SMEs, Team Leaders, Technical Specialists and broader MEX learning professionals to ensure accuracy, relevance and alignment to Advice processes and regulatory expectations
* Simplify technical/process-heavy/compliance content into practical, on-the-job learning resources
* Build assessments and activities that develop skills and measure capability
* Maintain training materials for accuracy, currency, compliance and version control
* Deliver hybrid training across Induction, Upskill, ongoing development and project-based learning
* Facilitate the monthly Advice Capability Series with well‐prepared, engaging content
Coaching & learning support
* Provide targeted 1:1 and group coaching based on needs, referrals and call quality insights
* Document coaching outcomes and support Advisers to embed learning into practice
* Evaluate effectiveness using feedback, assessments and Adviser performance trends
* Recommend improvements to content, delivery methods and learning pathways
* Prepare quarterly training reports covering delivery, attendance, evaluation results, capability trends and recommendations
About you

You're a confident, credible facilitator who can turn complex or technical content into learning that lands. You bring:

* Demonstrated experience in instructional design, content development and training facilitation
* Advice experience and strong knowledge of financial planning, superannuation, taxation, Centrelink and investment concepts.
* Strong understanding of adult learning principles and methodologies.
* Proven ability to translate technical/process/compliance requirements into clear, practical learning resources
* Experience developing blended learning: ILT + digital (modules, microlearning, multimedia, job aids)
* Confidence delivering in hybrid environments (online + in‐person)
* Coaching capability (1:1 and group), with an ability to lift performance through targeted support
* Strong stakeholder engagement—able to build trusted relationships across leaders and SMEs
* Strong administration and discipline with records, reporting and version control
* Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools and e‐learning/authoring tools (e.g., Articulate suite, Canva, LMS platforms)
