Key Responsibilities
Define and implement engineering, DevOps and quality strategies aligned with enterprise data platforms.
Lead the development of technical roadmaps and contribute to long-term strategic planning with senior leadership and architecture teams.
Mentor and lead engineering and solution design teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and innovation.
Set objectives, conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to uplift technical capability.
Ensure engineering teams are equipped with the right tools, frameworks and best practices to deliver high performance.
Oversee end-to-end delivery of engineering projects, ensuring quality, timely execution and effective risk management.
Conduct technical reviews and provide final sign-off on designs, standards and specifications.
Drive the adoption of emerging technologies and promote continuous innovation.
Serve as a senior technical liaison across engineering leadership, solution architecture and delivery teams.
Experience & Skills Needed
Proven leadership in modern digital engineering environments, ideally within financial services.
Deep understanding of modern data platforms and emerging technologies, with a focus on customer-centric design.
Hands-on expertise with data engineering technologies such as Teradata, Informatica, Hadoop, Synapse, Python, and PySpark.
Strong background in data transformation, automation, and delivering intuitive, user-friendly digital solutions.
Ability to build effective partnerships across business and technology teams.
Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to GM-level and senior stakeholders.
Strategic thinking with the ability to balance delivery needs and architectural priorities.
Strong governance capability and proven experience embedding engineering best practices.
Passion for mentoring, stakeholder engagement and fostering continuous improvement.
