About the Role
We are seeking a skilled professional to fill this challenging On-site Technician position. The ideal candidate will be based in Bandiana, approximately 3 hours from Melbourne.
* Must possess or have the ability to obtain security clearance (Australian Citizen).
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing support across multiple technology streams including desktop, infrastructure and services, encompassing hardware, OS, software, networks, server and print environments.
* Respond promptly to incidents and resolve issues within agreed service level agreements, while adhering to our breach reporting process for any failed SLAs.
* Perform asset refresh relocation deployment and decommission tasks, maintaining data integrity within the Configuration Management Database.
* Conduct routine maintenance and housekeeping of customers' physical infrastructure, including but not limited to desktop equipment, peripherals, telephony, print devices and audio-visual conferencing equipment.
* Foster effective communication with customers by keeping them informed about the progress of their case, notifying them of any delays.
* Provide proactive open and honest communication at all levels, remaining accountable for personal performance.
* Take responsibility for skill attainment and leverage training opportunities provided.
* Liaise directly with team members, team leaders, supported customer staff or other third parties to achieve required outcomes for delivery of the End User Service.
Requirements and Qualifications
* A minimum of 7 months to 1+ year experience supporting End User Devices at level 1+, which can include remote support.
* Demonstrated level 1 and level 2 technical knowledge of hardware and peripherals, including laptops, notebooks, workstations, desktop PCs, printers, media and audio-visual equipment, BYOD and mobility.
* Level 1 and level 2 technical knowledge of desktop & software applications, encompassing Operating Systems (Windows 7 through 10), Microsoft Office 2007 through 365, antivirus software and systems support in a small to medium business environment.
* Current or reinstatable AGSVA Security Baseline / NV1 Clearance is desirable. Must be an Australian Citizen.
* A basic understanding and knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SCCM, End-Point Imaging.
* Demonstrated entry-level or basic working knowledge of basic IT infrastructure and network equipment, including routers, switches, servers, virtualization, VPN, RSA, Citrix, VMware, Hyper-Converged Infrastructures.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information effectively.
