About the role As a Senior WorkSafe Inspector, you will form part of a professional regulatory team responsible for delivering complex and sensitive workplace safety investigations, inspections and enforcement activities in accordance with legislative and policy frameworks within the regional areas of WA. You will have a vital role in ensuring workplaces are: - adopting appropriate risk management strategies to reduce workplace hazards that can cause fatalities and serious injuries. - working to improve the management of psychosocial hazards. - consulting and involving workers in designing and implementing safe systems of work; and - complying with work health and safety laws. With your investigative skills and experience in a regulatory, safety or general industry background, you will be responsible for: - carrying out workplace inspections and taking appropriate enforcement actions when health and safety laws are breached. - conducting investigations into workplace incidents or accidents. - assessing any possible breaches of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 or equivalent relevant legislation. - gathering evidence and preparing briefs to legal, making recommendations about prosecutions and presenting evidence in court; and - promoting and delivering work health and safety presentations, providing information to workplaces.
