Geotechnical Expertise Role
We seek a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to contribute to our underground mining operations.
This position involves leading and mentoring a team, developing work plans and processes, conceptualising improvement projects, and providing geotechnical advice.
* Lead and mentor a team of Geotechnical Engineers.
* Develop functional work plans and processes for the Geotechnical Department.
* Conceptualise, initiate, present and implement specific Geotechnical improvement projects for productivity and profitability gains.
* Provide Geotechnical advice and direction in planned and active underground mining areas.
* Work closely with the technical production team in designing mine level and stope extraction plans.
* Contribute to the development of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring systems.
About You:
* Tertiary Qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Current C Class Western Australian Drivers Licence (Manual).
* Experience with mine design software – Deswik.
* Underground geotechnical experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground mine.
* Good communication skills.
* Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
