Our client is an industry leader in complex steel structures and steel construction looking for an experienced Spray Painter / Painter to join their coatings team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a painter with experience in automotive or industrial spray painting who's looking to transition into structural steel coatings. You'll enjoy consistent full-time hours, a supportive environment, and the chance to secure a permanent role.
What You'll Be Doing
* Prepare steel surfaces through cleaning, grinding, sanding, and blasting.
* Apply single-pack zinc phosphate primers using airless spray pumps.
* Apply two-pack epoxies, polyurethane, and polysiloxane coatings to high standards.
* Use Wet Film Thickness (WFT) gauges to measure and record coating thickness.
* Mix and handle paints using powered tools safely and accurately.
What You'll Need
* Experience painting structural steel using single- and two-pack epoxies.
* Skilled with airless spray equipment and familiar with WFT gauges.
* Knowledge of surface preparation and abrasive blasting.
* Experience operating overhead cranes safely (preferred).
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Automotive spray painters are encouraged to apply
