Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Range Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of range services at our Defence Base Services facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing range services during live activities and operations, while also maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
This is a full-time opportunity with 38 hours of work per week, including overtime as required. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
About the Role
As a Range Operator, you will be responsible for:
* Ensuring Red Flags/Red Lights are positioned in accordance with Range Standing Orders
* Preparing ranges and assisting range users and other customers
* Undertaking Land Management activities, including grass cutting, tree removal, weed spraying, and GIS mapping
* Responding to bush fires within the limitations of qualifications, available equipment, safety, and crew size
* Performing basic Estate Upkeep functions, such as fence and gate repairs, and other tasks
* Manufacturing and repairing targets as required
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A current Driver's Licence
* A HR Truck Licence (desirable)
* Experience in Range Training Areas and/or Land Management (desirable)
