About the role
Laucke Mills is seeking an experienced WHS Manager to join our team in South Australia's, beautiful Barossa Valley. This full-time position will be responsible for overseeing all workplace health and safety functions to ensure the wellbeing of our people and compliance with relevant legislation.
What you'll be doing
* Reviewing, monitoring, and amending the company's workplace health and safety policies and procedures
* Actively engaging with our people, providing support and training on health and safety best practices
* Conducting risk assessments and developing strategies to mitigate identified risks
* Investigating and reporting on incidents, and implementing corrective actions
* Liaising with regulatory bodies and ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant WHS legislation
* Continually reviewing and improving the company's safety management systems
* Leading by example creating a positive safety culture amongst all our people
What we're looking for
* Formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a WHS management role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
* Thorough understanding of WHS legislation and best practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with our people at all levels
* Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse and mitigate workplace risks
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Proactive, organised and able to work independently
