The Chief IT Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure. They oversee the development of large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of skilled IT professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure technical excellence.
* Develop and implement disaster recovery plans, evaluating risks and implementing measures to minimize disruption.
* Collaborate with departments and business units to understand IT requirements and deliver proactive solutions.
* Manage security measures, identifying and addressing vulnerabilities through proactive patching and updates.
Requirements
* Degree in Computer Science or related field.
* Strong leadership and management abilities, with excellent time management and multitasking skills.
* Proficiency in networking, including administration, installation, and troubleshooting.
* Experience with enterprise-grade networking solutions, including Cisco, Fortinet, and Rukus.
* Knowledge of advanced network configurations, including VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and QoS settings.
* Hands-on experience with server infrastructure, including rack-mounted servers, RAID configurations, and SAN/NAS storage systems.
* Microsoft Technologies: Windows Server for active directory management, group policy configuration, and system administration; Exchange Online for email infrastructure; Azure AD for identity and access management.
* Virtualisation Platforms: Hyper V and VMware; Cloud-based Solutions: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
* Backup and Recovery Tools: Veeam; Security Standards: firewalls, endpoint protection, threat detection systems.
* Operating Systems: Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS); Automation and Scripting Tools: PowerShell, Bash, Python.
* ITSM Platforms: ServiceNow, Fresh Service, or similar.
* Certifications: MCSE - essential; ITIL Qualification - essential; CCNA or equivalent networking certification - essential; CISSP or CompTIA Security+ - desirable; ISO***** Experience - desirable; PRINCE2 - desirable.
