What you'll do
The AV Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment to support a wide range of meetings, presentations and events. This role ensures the seamless delivery of high-quality audio, video, and multimedia experiences across various platforms and venues. The AV Technician works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions, maintain AV infrastructure, and provide prompt support to minimise disruptions and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Provide remote and on-site technical support during live events to ensure smooth operation of AV systems.
* Install, configure, and maintain AV systems, including projectors, displays, sound systems, video conferencing tools, and control equipment.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to understand AV requirements and deliver appropriate technical solutions.
* Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of AV equipment and infrastructure.
* Assist with the integration and testing of new AV technologies and system upgrades.
* Provide basic user training and support for AV systems and equipment as required.
* Adhere to workplace health and safety standards when handling and installing equipment.
What you'll bring
* Previous experience in an AV Technician or similar position - experience working in the Higher Education space is highly desirable.
* Experience and competence working with control systems such as Crestron, QSYS or AMX.
* Ability to read and follow AV schematics, as well as previous experience with ticket management systems such as ServiceNow or ConnectWise.
* Strong attention to detail and have a customer focused mindset.
* Ability to resolve technical issues under pressure and be an excellent problem solver.
What else do you need to apply
* Travel on-site to our office in Notting Hill and to client sites across Melbourne.
* Must be an Australian resident available to work full time without restrictions.
