Job Summary
As a Senior Solutions Engineer (Pre Sales) in NetApp's Sales Function, you will primarily provide pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions for large enterprises and service providers.
You will use your technical expertise and our cutting-edge data storage portfolio to address customers' technical needs and deliver successful business results.
You will be assigned to a district team and sales leader, focusing on expanding our presence within existing and new clients together with business partners.
Responsibilities
Use in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations.
Assist sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and prepare detailed product specifications for development and implementation.
Create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions.
Build mini-applications based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility, often requiring rapid prototyping or product demos for clients.
Provide consultation to prospective users and perform product capability assessment and validation.
Job Responsibilities
Design tailored storage technology solutions to address unique customer challenges.
Convey the advantages of NetApp storage solutions through presentations, demonstrations, and discussions.
Architect on-premise or hybrid storage systems (knowledge of NAS, SAN and Object Storage is required).
Develop storage infrastructure and data management solutions for enterprise applications, including cloud services.
Provide deep insights into storage and data management vendor ecosystems and backup solutions experience.
Create ROI/TCO overviews and highlight competitive advantages of solution offerings.
Collaborate with client executives and partner sales to develop strategies for customer opportunities related to storage solutions.
Advise on engagement and utilization of a broader range of technical resources.
Offer and apply technical expertise on NetApp's storage products and solutions.
Job Requirements
At least 8 years of experience and expertise in technical specifications on storage products and services.
Prior experience in a sales engineering, solutions architect, or solutions engineering capacity on storage technologies.
Experience with service providers is advantageous.
Operate as a subject-matter expert and influence the sales team, driving initiatives and acting as a decision-maker on projects.
Experience or working knowledge with EMC, HDS, HPE, IBM, VMware, or PureStorage products.
Knowledge of cloud, AI/ML, database, microservices, enterprise applications, or DevOps is advantageous.
Knowledge of Docker/Container & Kubernetes (K8S) platforms.
Knowledge of hybrid multi-cloud technologies and AI platforms.
