This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the visual identity of an electro-punk music project relaunching with a strong cinematic and cyberpunk/Y2K aesthetic. The project is centered on creating a cohesive, concept-driven brand for ongoing music releases and live performances, with a focus on innovative visual storytelling rather than traditional artist imagery.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely to develop and execute a distinctive visual direction, producing a steady stream of engaging content for social media and music platforms over the next year. This is a flexible, remote position suited for a creative professional passionate about music branding and visual content creation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate to define and refine a cohesive visual identity aligned with cyberpunk, Y2K, post-punk, and up-to-date knight aesthetics.
- Design cover art and Spotify canvas for each monthly single release.
- Create 20–30 second looping videos or visualizers for each track.
- Produce short animated snippets for Instagram Reels, Stories, TikTok, and other social platforms.
- Develop lyric animations or glitch text overlays as needed.
- Build a content bank of visual assets, loops, and motion graphics for weekly repurposing.
- Optionally assist with show visuals, including VJ loops and backdrops for live performances.
Requirements
- Proven experience creating visual identities for artists, DJs, or music projects.
- Familiarity with punk, electronic, or indie aesthetics is highly desirable.
- Ability to deliver consistent, high-quality assets on a monthly schedule.
- Proficiency in relevant design and animation software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate remotely.
- Adaptable availability to accommodate ongoing project needs.
- Interest in long-term collaboration; commitment to a 12-month engagement preferred.
