Wood is currently sourcing experienced Painter & Blasters for an upcoming opportunity Offshore on Yolla and onsite at Bass Gas.
We are looking for a candidate with strong commitment to safety, someone who enjoys working in a team, self-motivated and can prioritise work to meet deadlines.
To be considered, applicants must have full Australian working rights .
Responsibilities
* Perform abrasive blasting to clean and prepare surfaces for painting
* Apply protective coatings and finishes according to specifications
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication (Surface Finishing or Surface Preparation & Coating) preferred
* Current MSIC and BOSIET for Offshore Painters
* Construction Induction
* High Risk Work Licence – WP – preferred
* Work at Heights Certification – preferred
* Experience in oil & Gas – preferred
* Drivers Licence
* Experience working in a multi-disciplined team highly regarded (Sheetmetal, Painting)
* Demonstrated high commitment to safety
* Commitment to HSE
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
