Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Service Technician / Fitter to join their Brisbane team. The Opportunity This is a diverse and hands-on role combining workshop-based mechanical fitting work with field service support across customer sites. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, overhaul, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial rotating equipment while also supporting spare parts operations and workshop activities. This position would suit a trade-qualified Fitter & Turner or Mechanical Technician who enjoys a variety of work, problem-solving, customer interaction, and occasional travel. Key Responsibilities Service & Field Support Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs, and overhauls of blowers, compressors, gas meters, and associated equipment. Conduct fault finding and troubleshooting at customer sites. Assist with equipment installations and commissioning. Disassemble, clean, inspect, assess, and rebuild machinery. Conduct testing and quality checks prior to dispatch. Complete detailed service reports and QA documentation. Discuss findings and recommendations with customers and internal teams. Assemble and test new machine packages. Process spare parts orders. Pick, check, label, pack, and dispatch parts. Assist with inventory management and periodic stocktakes. Ensure accurate documentation and storage procedures are maintained. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment. Assist with workshop equipment maintenance and operational improvements. Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Liaise with management regarding operational requirements and technical issues. Contribute to workshop procedures and quality assurance systems. Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues. Participate in staff meetings and training programs. Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support. Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment. Skills & Experience Trade qualification in Fitting & Turning, Mechanical Fitting, or similar. Experience repairing and servicing industrial rotating equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills. Current Forklift Licence advantageous. Current Driver's Licence. Strong communication and customer service skills. Computer literacy and ability to complete service reports. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently. Flexible approach and willingness to travel interstate when required. What's On Offer?
