Job Description
Source and acquire supplies and services needed for the company's operations.
Conduct negotiations with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers in the Resources industry.
Regularly review performance of suppliers and ensure consistent supply chain management.
Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing.
Coordinate with team members and other departments to ensure all procurement tasks are done efficiently.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Purchasing Officer should have:
A strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a similar field.
