Flexi Personnel have been a trusted partner for the last 30 years, specialising in supplying staff to industries such as warehousing, manufacturing, transport, and logistics. Our client, based in Footscray, requires experienced electronic assemblers for a 12 month contract. Working a Mon-Fri, 40 hour dayshift week, assemblers will be involved in the production of specialized, high grade cable assembly, to create electronic devices. Performing high quality fine pinch soldering, de- soldering, crimping, cutting, stripping, testing and programming functions, other duties will include : Reading & interpreting technical drawings, schematics and engineering specifications to assemble fiber optic cables Use precision tools and equipment to measure, cut, strip and terminate fiber optic cables Installing connectors, splice fibers and assemble cables according to established procedures and quality standards Testing and troubleshooting fiber optic cables to ensure signal transmission and integrity, and working with engineers and other technicians to resolve issues optimizing cable performance Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining clean and organized work environment Requirements: Minimum of 1-year professional experience working in a cable manufacturing and/or assembly role High level of competence with soldering in an electronics or cable assembly environment Attention to detail, able to follow instructions and wiring & electrical diagrams Strong English skills (written and verbal) Excellent time management skills and ability to work supervised and unsupervised Own transport and drivers license Full Australian working rights Able to commit to a 12 month contract and have no plans for long holidays or leave plans over that time Can commence work from mid-August Successful applicants will be required to perform a skills assessment and then pass a Police check and social medic check before commencing.
